Eulogy

Mary Agnes O'Rourke was born and reared in Aughavas, Co. Leitrim. Along with her brother John they worked hard to help their parents maintain the farm while also having to walk a great distance to and from school.
When brother John left the home place to seek employment in London, it left a major void in her life.
In 1971, Mary along with sister in law, Madge decided to head for the bright lights of London as well.
Mary lived in Cricklewood and every weekend she enjoyed her dancing at the Galtymore Club. Her favourite dance was "The siege of Ennis" because she was in love with her sweetheart back home and she didn't want to get too close to other men in London.
Then one day Mary received a letter from her sweetheart in Ireland (James Dillon) with a proposal of marriage which she accepted, so she said farewell to lovely London and returned to lovely Leitrim to marry James in 1979 and live in Aughavas. James passed away so Mary spent the rest of her life alone on the farm until she joined him in Heaven
Mary was a wonderful person who had a kind word for everyone.
May she rest in peace for evermore with her sweetheart James surrounded by Angels like herself.
